THE EFFECT OF VARIATION AND CONVENTIONAL TRAINING METHODS OF PASSING TECHNIQUES ON FOOTBALL PASSING SKILLS OF SSB ALIF FC PADANG

Abstract

The problem of this study is that SSB Alif FC Padang often loses when
competing. Mistakes in passing are often because players still like to
play as they please and still tend to enjoy playing, training methods that
are less creative and innovative are one of the factors where players
often make mistakes in passing when playing football. The purpose of
this study is to compare variation or conventional training methods on
passing techniques that have a greater influence on football passing
skills.The type of research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental
method. The study was conducted 16 times at the Kurao football field,
Padang for 1 month and 15 days. The population of the study was 50
SSB Alif FC Padang students and the sample was 24 people with a
purposive sampling technique. The treatment given was variation
training and conventional training of passing techniques. The data
analysis techniques used included correlation product moment and ttest with the help of Ms. Office Excel 2010.The results of the study
obtained were that the variation training method of passing techniques
had a significant effect on passing skills with a calculated r of 0.88. The
variation training method of passing techniques significantly affects
passing skills with a calculated r of 0.88. The variation training method
has a more significant effect with an average value of 1.83 on
improving passing skills compared to conventional training which has
an average value of 1.75. So it can be concluded that the use of
variation training is more effective because there is an increase during
the posttest compared to conventional training in improving SSB Alif
FC football passing skills
