Abstract

This study was prompted by a gap in knowledge regarding the
foundational football skills of students at the DG Academy Paraman
Ampalu Football School in West Pasaman Regency. The primary
objective was to characterize student proficiency in passing and
controlling, dribbling, heading, and shooting. Employing a
quantitative-descriptive approach, the research encompassed all 20
students enrolled at the academy. Data on these fundamental technical
skills were collected through direct measurement of each component.
Descriptive statistical analysis, including calculation of averages and
percentages, was conducted to evaluate the findings. Key results
revealed the following: (1) Passing and control abilities exhibited a
moderate level, with an average score of 11 points. (2) Dribbling skills
were also classified as moderate, with an average completion time of
20.13 seconds. (3) Similarly, heading and shooting abilities
demonstrated moderate proficiency, both achieving an average score
of 12 points. (4) An overall assessment of basic footballing skills across
all students indicated a moderate level of mastery, with an average
aggregate score of 200 points. This study contributes to a better
understanding of the current skill levels within the DG Academy
Paraman Ampalu Football School, providing valuable insights for
coaches and educators to tailor training programs and enhance student
performance
